Is the queue usually that long? I might go, but I'd prefer to spend more time in the place than standing outside!

This stems from last year where if you purchased your ticket in advance you had to que up before it opened and they took 30 minutes to get everyone in once the doors had opened. Strangely though the que if you didnt have a ticket took 5 minutes. This year i havent bought a ticket in advance so you know it will be the other way round this year!

Sorry, but I hope you're right! I bought advance tickets! :D

Advance tickets are better because you get raffle ticket privileges. £250 you can spend atany stall? Yes please!

And you get a freebies bag if you are one of the first people through the door. Last year they gave away stuff like a K&R bag.
Cheers

I normally get there quite early and in previous years they stamp your hand and give you your goody bag before the doors open, leaving you to wander off and get coffee or whatever. I missed it last year so maybe they didn't do that.

I'm probably too late for a badge but I'll be wandering round in my custom "Flockwit" T-shirt so say hi if you run into me.

Did not know they did that. Perhaps if the m25 and m3 are clear (ha!) I'll get there nice and early and will be able to do that. Load up on caffiene before going in with a pocketful of cash?! Can only be a good plan :)

Right then, Grant. If I get a goody bag I'll photograph everything that was in it and post it up for you. That way you will know whether it was worth missing or you can chew your liver until next year!

I must clarify my post regarding queue length. Originally I was whooping about Salute being great (which it is). However several people can't make it so i downplayed my post with some ficticious 'disasters', Long queue, burnt bacon, no hobnobs etc.

I was in the queue last year and it only took about 20 minutes to get inside and the goody bag containing a KR bag, amongst other things, was definitely worth the wait. Got advance tickets again this year. (We may spend less time in the coffee shop down near the DLR station before hitting the queue this year though. Left it a bit late last year but the Danish Pastries were worth it!)
