Grant- No April Fool just had enough

It appears some posters on here are frightened of debate and don't like other peoples opinions ,which is fine just don't post but without debate you havn't got much of a forum . We have lost Zed who never agreed with anything I said anyway  and now BD . Both these guys loved having debate and where amongst certain others the heart beat of this forum .In essence I loved it when people didn't agree with me but I don't go shouting the odds if it wasn't the view I shared and never bothered if it was political or not.

Thats why currently threads rarely go past page 2 ;)

Any way thats my final say on the subject because the last thing I want is a war of words with anyone( which isn't debate) ;)

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

Is that the royal 'we' colonel? because I am not sure how you can speak for everyone on the forum. I thought there were lot's of new ideas and threads all the time but that's my opinion - you don't have to agree.

Ironically the main thread that involves any GW bashing is 'state of the hobby and grumblings'

'Some people are frightened of debate' - surely that's a little melodramatic? obviously I don't expect a reply because 'that's my final say on the subject' mmmmmm....and I thought you like debate.

I haven't noticed a level of GW knocking at all, if I'm honest. There was a reverberation from the paint thread which also had people taking "I like this new range" as a negative.

The only negative thought I've had is that I want to see someone on here doing a Soda Pop plog and nobody is. :(

I will confess to doing some GW-knocking, well deserved though. Honestly, just had enough of their shenanigans. And now that Sir Rick has left, and Mr. Johnson doesn't seem to do much writing, well, it's not the same. I follow Sir Rick! :D
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Hurray for Sir RICK!! Cracking fellow he is.

I THINK that's how it goes ;) . Either way, I like em. He's a good kid.

As far as GW, to each his own. If you like their stuff, enjoy, if not, there's tons of options.

About the only thing in is whole hobby that I just can NOT understand is this Quar business. WHY are ant eater soldiers held in such high reguard? I'm baffled. But again, back to my mantra, to each his own, to each his own.... :)

Mmmm ... I’m inclined to agree with Paul.

I haven’t found this forum lacking, quite the opposite - full of ideas, inspiration, constructive contributions and some truly fabulous modelling and painting ... and informed correspondence ... let’s face it, this place is what we make it, we can choose who we interact with and how (I have never engaged with the ‘state...grumblings’ thread) ... I read more than I post, and I post for your interest or if I really feel that something (a point of view) needs informing ... and I will be a bit more involved once I am settled in my shiny new house :D

Obviously I understand how a change in one’s interests will demand that one’s time is used differently, but that is altogether different ...

Anyhow, as I said, it’s what we make it ...

Cheers

Paul
