Do parking charges = price rises?

Postby red » Tue Apr 03, 2012 11:05 am

Link
Nottingham City Council will charging companies for employee parking spaces.
Fee per parking space
2012 £288
2013 £334
2014 £364
2015 £381

With so much of the Wargames Industry based in Nottingham will the companies have to pass these costs onto the customers?
Should we be organising a petition?

I think with most companies not being owned by the council and being in industrial units with their own parking it shouldn't affect things.

I'll be interested in the Legal aspect of this and wondering if it has been challenged. It's almost like being charged for parking your own car in your own drive when you own the land. Its nothing to do with the council its your land and you should be able to do what you want .Parking outside in the street is another matter .

I hate these flipping councils because its always do as I say but don't do as I do. Many lives where sacrificed fighting a tyrany such as this .

I think I need to take a chill pill before I get madder :o

Green is the new colour of red when it comes to tax raising. This is a world wide scam to extort money out of people . Global warming is a natural process the Earth goes through every so often

There has been a lot of non-wargaming topics posted recently, almost political some of them.

I for one, believe it lowers the tone of the Club.

Well that scuppers my thread about Krishna running for Prime Minister.

That said if Warlord raised their prices as a result of this then it would affect your hobby ;)

Most forums have a general chat section and I for one don't think it lowers the tone of a forum ;)

Right, say every member of staff was effected by this and Warlord as company decided to increase wages according to the staff's now higher living costs. In actual terms that that would mean that the chaps and chapettes would each get an increase rising to £2 a week over the next three years.
I don't think that'd impact the price of a box of soldiers.

This is your opinion, not a fact. Did anyone actually ask you for it?
This is the sort of thing that starts 'flame wars' --- for everyone with that opinion there is some one with the opposite and as you seem to think we all want to hear your views, what if they then posted the opposite? Are you going to shout them down?
Can't see the need for any political ranting on a wargames forum. No problem with the fact that you do.

Being a polymath of sorts I used to frequent the Sky At Night Magazine forum and there had a single user who'd have some right wing political rant every couple of days that would have other users swallowed up in. The result was that it went from being one of the most busy Astronomy forums in the world to being dead in a year.
