Friends leaving.

Postby carvel2 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:54 am

Biggus has decided to leave the forum. He wasn't going to mention it but I thought it appropriate to let people know so he didn't just slip out the back door without people realising.
I for one will miss progress reports on swords...melons included...Romans, and general good humour. :D
His reasons are around a personal sense of an increase in what he feels is a more negative tone to some of the posts of late.
Cheers BD for all your warlord company :D

See ya BD. Good guy, I'll be sad to see him go.

I understand his departure, it's something I have considered lately.

PS. No, sorry BD, I can't let you go without this (it's compulsory I'm afraid, I'm sure you understand) -

Oh! This saddens me greatly. BD offered so much to this forum. I always felt that this forum was a very friendly place. Yes we have the odd spat arise, but generally it is a great place with lots of humour and worthwhile information. I hope he sees fit to return in the near future because I, for one, will miss his posts.

Best wishes and Hail, Biggus Dickus! 8-)

Sorry to hear this news - I can but echo the sentiments of Cubster and Al; the sad state that this bloopin' Internet brings, too easy for friendly discussion to become a heated debate and then ... a salutory lesson for us all. :(
Fare well, BD!

BD leaving the forum?

I am quite saddened to hear that a user of this forum would feel agrieved enough by the conduct of others to leave and also that others are considering leaving too. Also, I was compelled to check that I had not been a contributer to this climate. I admit that I maybe have been a little heavy handed at times in the recent pie jaffa cake threads and I can only apologise if I have personally offended anyone on this forum. In common with text messaging, conversing on a forum has the disadvantage of not always conveying the tone that the message was written in.

Maybe we should all leave until BD comes back?? Perhaps he will come back if Warlord send him a nice new box set!!

Sad to see him go I've had a few amusing PM's with him over our time but if he feels he wants time away then he should but I demand a return if he ever gets a full suit of armour!!!!

That is unfortunate.

This is the only forum I frequent anymore, I find it to be just about the best one around. I am a moderator on the ghqmodels forum still, even of I don't go that often - there is virtually no spam and like this forum, almost no arguments that can't be settled amicably.

Well let's hope he finds his way back.
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Sad indeed...

I echo the statements by others that this is usually a genial place to hang out and I think that this forum is one of the best out there for help and general lack of trolls. It is sad that BD has been put off from posting here any more. He has ofter made my day with some of his posts and threads... I will long remember the headless praetorians vs the Smurf tribe.

Perhaps we all need at times to step away from the keyboard and think before we post, I know I myself have posted things that perhaps I should have considered a bit more first.
