It's Friday! 16 March edition.

Postby grant » Fri Mar 16, 2012 1:42 pm

This is my Friday to work, so I'm off to that in a bit. Short day though, can't really complain.
Finish my eBay listings for Sunday - 71 so far as I break up a Night Goblin army, Vampire Counts, a ton of army books going 15 years or more, and all kinds of stuff I have lost steam on. Flames of War, all GW barring Lotr, and some historicals like my 6mm worst idea, and even some good ideas including my Warlord Ancient British... I can give the link by pm if anyone wants.

Hoping to pick up a brush and get something painted. Anything. Just to move a project along and do some hobby!
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

I'm of to attend my first club meet of the year tonight with the http://pensnettmodelmakerssociety.blogspot.com/. Basically an excuse to drink tea, eat biscuits and talk about models for a couple of hours.

Started my Friday at the post office, sending a packet of 350 planes painted this week. 1/1250 ones , evenings post work work. Small models but still a lot of paintwork with 4-6 colours each. And the badges, rubbing type. On mini planes. That's the part I hate. To much force and ....., not enough and ....... .
But it pays and to make the hobby pay for the hobby is a great feeling.

Started last weekend some of my Vikings, interrupted by the planes. So this weekend I know what I do.

Got to squeeze in some desk time because I'm way behind on my self-imposed schedule.

At the moment it's main AGM season. Last Friday we had our tabletop club's meeting, tonight it's my theatre society. But maybe I can finish the next gladiators afterwards.

Finishing off the basing on the first squads of 15mm WW2, and trying not to get too sucked in to the Diablo 3 beta. Watching the rugby or playing an ACW BP game tomorrow - hard choice.

Finishing off the Guy Ant and Kfz 13 masters and an unnamed (but I guarantee, surprising) German vehicle master.

Finally get the 18/25 pdr gun finished and off my desk.

Write up next week's newsletter.

If I have a good session tonight I can clear my desk and do some painting of my own this weekend. So excited!
Cheers,

Paul Sawyer

Just scratchbuilt a WS18 for my Plastic BAM British.
Finally the lieutenant's radio operator's got something to carry on his back.
Painting him and some more squaddies later..

Cheers
