Thanks, NTM!

That's what I figured. Like I said, it'll be an intro to wargaming game more than anything.

Not sure what to think on the Bolt Action game and vehicles. With the TONs of vehicles Warlord is pumping out, maybe they will be more improtant than we think.

I'm hoping BA makes the armor rules a little more detailed than KGN. I like hit location and rolling for penetrating results, etc. Hoping it's at least as detailed as say 40K.

I digress.....

Back to topic! 8-)

TBH I think the BA ruleset would be a better choice for 28mm stuff. KGN isn't detailed enough IMO in the infantry rules for predominantly infantry conflicts.

THe BA set I would think knowing the authors style would be more detailed which is ideally suited for 28mm figures .

For conflicts involving a large number of vehicles , unless you have access to large boards would be better done in 15s or 20s.

I think both FOW and KGN handle larger type battles better than the smaller skirmish style conflicts. In these types of conflicts you are not too bothered where a tank is hit but whether it is knock out or not otherwise a single turn with 50 tanks per side (which is the scale of battles we play) would take forever an eternity to sort out! ;)

My one complaint with BA is that it's not in my hands yet! :x ;)

Come July, I'm planning on BA being my rulset unless there's some radical problem with them. Thinking that's HIGHLY unlikely though.

KGN works for now.....
