Not really, although I got the new 'Richthofens Flying Circus' rules and I always wanted to try WWI air combat.
I try to figure out how to base it at the moment, the rules require hexes and I havent got any.
When I finished the Camel I might get a Fokker and try a dogfight..or swap to different scale and try WoW.
:?

Cheers

That's what I thought. If you can find the WoW planes, they're worth every penny.

There are hex bases available, if you google Bob Barnetson I am sure his website has 1:72 planes and hex bases that he has built, and links to sources. He uses radio antenna to telescope for altitude, which is cool.

Thanks for the hint!
They use the antennae things as well in the book, looks cool but might be fiddly to attach the planes..?
The one I got seems very fragile :?

Rare earth magnets for the attaching. You can get round ones to gimble the mounts for coolness too.

Good luck!

I used to use Magnetix for model aircraft. You drill a hole the same width as the magnet miliput it in and smooth it over and paint as normal. Your distplay stalk gets the other magnet from the Magnetix sick and you put the ball between them. with 40K stuff you can just sink the ball into the model and use the magnet on the stalk.

So how disciplined are you at finishing stuff, Paul? Are you mortal like the rest of us?

Very disciplined on Warlord stuff like these masters - I'm always tinkering away at them. However my own hobby stuff suffers almost totally as a result.

Once the last of the BEF masters are revised (not many to go now) I'll be looking forward to getting stuck into my painting again. I want to get more done to my AWI army as well as start a new Bolt Action army - just not sure which one at this stage.
Cheers,

Paul Sawyer
