it's all very well these people making their own Celtic huts using the towel method.......But come sunday when they can't dry themselves after their weekly bath, there's going to be tears, not to mention some trouble from the other half ;)

I'm not painting this evening, just made some burgers...and plan to watch a bit more Gene Hunt

Painting some Auxilaries. The first 8 are nearly done and the second lot are about 40% done. I'll probably break out the sandy paste to base them later and leave them to dry overnight.
Just ordered the Hail Caesar rulebook too - especially as a certain Mr. Priestly has been busy signing copies (I wonder if that wonderfull Mr. Sawyer would be good enough to sign it too........... )
Tomorrow I'll work on some Praetorians as I base coated them last weekend and havn't had time to paint them yet............

I still have about 60 Sammies glaring at me that need to be cracked by Salute

Just can't get into them and keep picking up the odd medieval mini for 'diversion' ;)

Planning a trip to the local DIY tomorrow to seek out the Danish version of blue/pink foam for the Spring terrain building project :D

Messing with the Celt standard bearer from BD after the Friday-night fry-up, instead of getting some painting done. Off to the Lakes this weekend, but car probs (brake system, beyond my ken to fix), so might be a short trip ... :(

my last attempt at thatch was a difficult wrestling match with super glue and wallpaper brush bristles.
Toweling is definately the way forward. thanks for the inspiration Mikeland! :D :D

Saturday morning here in Australia. Last night I played my first game of Combat Commander Europe. I played as the Germans. Jason was the Soviets. Played a historical meeting of two platoon sized recon forces at a place called Lipki. And I won! I took victory because I got to an objective stone building first with my MG42, and the Soviets had to come and get me across open ground. Never ends good. :D

Usually play Combat Commander Pacific, which I rate highly. I found the Europe version just as enjoyable. I have to go buy it now.

Watch Henry of Navarre (well, try to - I hate subtitled flicks).

Check through the first draft of the Pike & Shotte rulebook (yes, really!).

Woo-hoo! Pike and Shotte! Woo-hoo!

If I can leave Borderlands fpr long enough tomorrow I'll be flocking the inside of my telescope and then painting some BA US.

Working on my first building - something that can be used for ECW to Napoleonics, the toweling thatch roof is done and looks fantastic, to my eyes! Should have pics up by Sunday.

Other than that, off to see Redtails this weekend, and planning odds and ends of my San Francisco-Los Angeles trip. Can't wait to be out of work!
