Hi folks

Postby foureighttwo » Thu Jan 19, 2012 5:47 pm

Can't seem to find an introduction area, so rather than hijacking someones thread I thought i'd start my own with a simple. "hello". :D

Bit of background on me - after a number of years away from (fantasy GW) gaming I have just started a British Napoleonic army (my first Perry minis unit literally arrived yesterday!) and I'm loving the detail! I've not picked up a paint brush in about ten years so it really is like starting from scratch! I've assembled my first three and have just painted 1 to completion so far, yay!

Anyways, hello!

(Appologies if there is infact a 'welcome' area! I'm a blind old bugger)

Hi Foureighttwo

Beware on here, it is dangerous territory  ... temptation on every hand. I have been drawn into Romans, celts and WW2 from being on here  ! Have fun and please post pictures of your minis if you can... :D

Welcome aboard the crazy train Foureighttwo!
The Perry's do some very nice models - I've got some British riflemen kicking around somewhere which I keep meaning to finish but always got distracted by something else :D
Ditto what Mikeland said - I've not yet finished my Romans, but I'm already looking at what to paint next. I need to complete my century, but the Heros of Rorkes Drift set looks so very tempting..............

Welcome to the forum of the .... .

No reason to worry about collecting two, three or four ranges at a time. Compare the price and the time of fun they give you with a day out in the city. Cinema or theatre, medium food, a little drink.

We are waiting for the first in "Show as yours". :)

And hello to you, as some folk are saying it's a slippery slope once you start, you'll be trying to juggle 20 periods at once before long, but as long as you side with Parliament / Rome you cant go far wrong ;) :)
