I got a lego technic unimog thing, 10+ hours of building done and it's only about 75% done :)

I didn't get any new models, but to be fair I have a massive backlog of about 200 figs to finish building before I can even start painting. I did get a set of bookcases/display cabinets to tidy my work room up and display some of my figures, spent a good few hours builidng them up too!

I've seen those - really cool!! I know of some schools (including universities) that use these in their science and engineering classes.

That's all?!?!?! :o  :o My backlog of unpainted lead is well over 1000!!!! This is something SWMBO brought up when I told her I wanted some ECW minis for Christmas.

I didn't get anything like bookcases/cabinets, but SWMBO is on the look out for some for me. Actually, my 'hobbies' are one of the reasons SWMBO is pushing for me to work on the gaming room this winter (another reason for the portable shop heater). I have my toys spread out through three rooms and she'd like to see it all consolidated into one.

My mrs. sometimes tries to invade my hobby room. I mean, it's just the two of us, a whole house with basement, and she occasionally thinks to take over my storage room. Not. Going. To. Happen.

Same here! It's just the two of us in a two story house will basement and full attic. I'm getting the attic for my gaming/hobby room and she's taking over the library as her hobby room. We figured it was about time the extra bedrooms needed to become bedrooms instead of hobby rooms.

As to the gaming room...I'm hoping to give it an ECW/Napoleonic/Safari flair!

Storage room, the old problem. But now I used the time between the years to find some more storage room.
Found a cupboard full of old cameras and other stuff that I did not use for 15 + years. Chemical cameras....., stone age. Including some chemicals that long outdated the "best before" date.
And old stuff like microphones with connectors that find nothing to plug it in since I changed to colour TV. ;)

Some for the fleamarket, a lot went straight into the litter box and some will be kept for another decade. But the wonder happened, space enough for some more armies.

Finished some Roman cavalry last week, part of the large ratio doubling program I started. The miniatures arived, now the work has to be done.

I've had a Dremel 300 for years, brilliant things.

P.A. many thanks for that...that will be my first addition.....it also seems worthy of it's own thread so i will do that now!!!

I am sure I mentioned this earlier, but I got:

Warlord Bolt Action USMC - a box, two blisters, a Sherman - need a few more for a platoon though. Strange TO&E for F-series. 8-)
Perry Soudan range - Mahdist metals and British metals, just a few odds and ends and that collection is done!
DP9 Heavy Gear starter box and a Battlefoam bag.
Heresy baddies for Witchfinder General - arooo! (that's the werewolf.)

You should have a look at the Ikea Billy bookcases; pretty cheap and you can get glass doors for them turning them into pretty decent display cabinets, particularly if you add a few extra shelves as mini's aren't very tall. Typically the doors cost more than the bookcase though

And just discovered that my Sherman has TWO RIGHT TRACKS! Email to Warlord, but given it's holidays, could be a while before I see the correct track.
