Looking forward to the pics! I renovated my main floor last year. Gutted the place - even cut out the floors to the beams. Not a fun time, to be sure. Nice ending though.

Cabinet up...plenty of room for slingers and cavalry.
Tour de france proceeding well....mixture of plastic and metal figures ( I would definately buy WW1 British cyclist figures.... oh great Warlord in the sky!)
Eagle eyed will note the bookcases are being painted, hence emergency sofa use :D

PS need to reback the cabinet....suggested colours?

Typical, you're trying to build a set of shelves and the council insists on a cycle lane!

PS. I vote light blue for the backing.

Long ago I had a free piece of wall large enough for such a case. But today...... :(

Nice combination with other toys. Very clever.

Um ... I'm just wondering if it's wise to have the miniatures above the radiator :?

The radiator? Would be no problem with my troops. Metal veterans. ;) Only your modern plastic Romans might get soft  But I guess the cabinet will keep the worst heat away from them. Anyway, from a Roman I expect a hypocaustum heating system below the floor. So with the kitchen ready you can start a new project. Floor heating feels great.

Nice paintwork on the Greek shields, I like the green nightmare on the right.

I just need an excuse to recruit some better cast figures. At the time of purchase they were state of the art...you could choose the head and the shield :D Bought them when I was 16 at a Manchester Wargames event...along with 24 companion cavalry by the same manufacturer. No idea who.
