Some of my hardware:

M1 Carbine as issued to vehicle crews etc, and an M1911A1 Colt 45 Automatic Pistol. Both are originals. The grips on the pistol are replacements. People will tell you that the bayonet holder on the carbine wasn't issued until late in the war, but the date on the barrel is 1-43 so who knows what the truth is there. The greenish sling is certainly late or post-war. The butt pouch holds two 15 round clips, ammo being a .30 calibre pistol round. Hence its reputation as lacking stopping power.

Closer view of the M1911A1. These were made by many different manufacturers due to the enormous demand, including Remington Rand, Singer and others. This one as far as I can tell from the serial number and proof marks is a 1942 dated Colt. No problems with stopping power on these...

Standard issue pistol belt set with first aid pouch and water bottle. Should also have an ammo pouch but I forgot it

US steel helmet. Original helmet with repro straps and net. The helmet has been repainted in what I am reliably informed is an accurate colour. Having said that I have seen originals in a similar colour, and also in a slightly darker, less olive, green.

Dodge Weapons Carrier ('Beep'). Both these belong to a friend but I'm happy to say I get to drive them
