Looking for veterans to interview

Postby david1234 » Fri Jan 13, 2012 3:11 pm

My name is David Hiscocks. I am a member of the history department at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. I am currently writing a book on the use of oral history, and the importance of memory. I intend to conduct interviews with veterans, of all backgrounds, ages and experiences as the foundation of a series of case studies in my book. My purpose to highlight the duty of remembrance we, the public, have to our veterans, through these case studies. Furthermore, I intend to showcase the variety of experiences veterans have; I am not just looking for dramatic war stories. I want to showcase the entire spectrum of experiences. To achieve this, I was hoping that veterans would like to contact me with their stories. If you want your story to be told, whatever it may be, I would love to hear from you.

Please contact me on:

Thank you for your time.
