The Great Siege: Malta 1565 by Ernle Bradford

Postby carvel2 » Wed Aug 15, 2012 7:18 pm

Many many thanks to Mr. Cubster for this recommendation.
Having just finished it I cant help but pass on the good deed.
It is a fantastic read with loads of wargaming/modelling possibilities.
Daring cavalry raids, desperate commando assaults by local fishermen, sea warfare, mine warfare, small boat engagements, full on assaults, grand heroes, intrigue; the list goes on.
It reads like a Warhammer fantasy book of daring deeds.....
A short book and every chapter is filled with adventure. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Great-Siege-Malta-1565/dp/075929934X

Read it I say, read it. You wont regret it

Yes, a great book. I've it on my library shelf.

I've read other books on the siege, but this book is much more in alot of ways.

Cheers,

Helen
