We started off 2018 with a bang with the Bolt Action campaign book: Market Garden.
For Bolt Action players Market Garden has it all – daring attacks, determined resistance and heroic last stands by American, British, German and Polish troops ranging from elite veteran paratroopers to novices and from obsolete armoured cars to King Tiger tanks.
February saw the Panzer 38t plastic tank rumbling into our armies and we expanded the Dark ages!
Most commonly known as the Panzer 38(t), this light tank was originally a Czech design – the LT vz. 38. Well-liked by its crews for its dependability and ease of repair, over 1,400 38(t)s were produced and saw active service for Germany during the invasion of Poland, the Battle for France and on the Eastern Front.
A notoriously unstable and rebellious member of the Roman Empire, Britannia was thrown into bloody conflict as the Western Roman Empire began to crumble. Axe, spear and sword became the dominant currency for those vying for control of the kingdoms.
As we continued the March of time… we wrapped up some plastic German infantry in winter gear! Plus, we released the Sohei warrior monks and the Saxons!
Leading with a Saxon Warlord, defend your homes and land with this Saxon starter army!
Hozoin In’ei, the abbot of the temple of Mount Hiei, leads his group of monks in a bitter struggle for the future of this sacred land. Armed with bows, Naginata and iron discipline, the monks are ready to pay the highest price for victory.
The resourceful German landser (common soldiers) often had to make do with little more than their standard issue woollen greatcoat, gloves, scarves and a steely determination to not only stave off the cold, but also be able to fight and win.
April was no joke, we certainly had a good mix! Pike & Shotte, Gates of Antares and Bolt Action!
The late 15th and early 16th centuries in Europe were defined by near-constant warfare. National ‘standing armies’ were unheard of and the ambitions of empires were reliant on the mercenaries they could afford to hire.
The Ghar Empire is torn asunder by rebellion! From the world of Gharon Prime, the Supreme Commander despatches his vast and powerful armies to track down and destroy the rebels. Alas, even the best and most favoured of the Ghar Commanders is no match for this ragged army of mere Outcasts led by the most notorious and dangerous of them all – the former commander and now disgraced Fartok!
Based on the reliable Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis, almost 3,000 of Hetzers (Baiters) were built by the war’s end. Their small size and very low profile gave them distinct advantages in the role of tank hunters. With 3 variants from one kit, this is a tank that must be had in everyone’s collection.
May we interest you with some new US plastic infantry? Or, the resin Algoryn AI Bastion? Maybe the warrior women known as the Onna Bugeisha? How about the new expansion for Konflikt ’47, Defiance? Or take to the skies with Blood Red Skies by Andy Chambers!
American troops were after all aggressive, resourceful and supremely well-equipped…
The Bastion heavy combat skimmer is the largest and most powerful of the military grade semi-autonomous weapon platforms in the armoury of the Algoryn Prosperate.
Onna-Bugeisha, a female martial artist, are members of the samurai class. Noblewomen trained to fight for their homes, their honour and their family.
This book is the second supplement for the hugely popular Konflikt ’47 and seeks to expand the game’s boundaries further by introducing more units, forces and army build options…
Ramping up for Summer, things sure got hot with all the spicy releases we had in June!
Originally developed as an anti-aircraft weapon, the Flak 37 8.8cm (or Eighty-eight as it became known by Allied troops) had a high muzzle velocity to allow it to reach the higher ranges modern bombers were capable of at the time. Our outstanding plastic kit comes with metal crew, data cards and waterslide decals.
Inspired by the powerful British Churchill Crocodile and their own experiences in the Pacific with other versions of flamethrower tanks the US army ordered some 100 Sherman Crocodile variants from the British, who were recognised as leading the field in Flamethrower technology.
Fresh in from our great supplier Italari, this Flak Bunker is based on the R677 bunker template with dual purpose anti-tank and anti-aircraft capability. This Coastal Defence bunker follows the R612/R680 templates for coastal defence bunkers with its distinctive flanking wall. These bunkers would most commonly house either 7.5cm anti-tank guns or 10.5cm field howitzers and provided deadly firepower capable of striking invaders as they landed as well as at sea.

For July, we sought to buff out some armies! So the Aussies and Virai got some much-needed extras…
Schools out and we ran amok in the Western Desert for Bolt Action! Plus, Black Powder got its second edition and giant bi-pedal walker for the Germans in Konflikt ’47!
With further developments of the Rift-tech walker technology, Germany has been able to enhance its panzermech programme with the addition of a bipedal jump-capable walker, able to compete with the versatility of the US Grizzly and Mudskipper chassis…
When compared to the enormous campaigns waged on the Eastern Front and in Western Europe during World War II, the struggle in North Africa between the British Commonwealth and the Axis might seem an unimportant sideshow. However, its influence and impact were far-reaching and dictated many strategic decisions that influenced the course of the war.
Sent to bolster their beleaguered Italian allies facing the combined forces of the British Commonwealth in North Africa, the Deutsches Afrika Korps proved a dangerous opponent. Commanded by the legendary Erwin Rommel, the Afrika Korps fought a series of ferocious battles in Egypt and Libya as each side pushed the other to the breaking point.
Formed from the Western Desert Force in 1941, the British 8th Army comprised men from across the British Commonwealth – British, New Zealanders, Australians, Indians and South Africans.
This book describes the Black Powder game and its various procedures and rules as played by the authors and their friends with a few new tweaks. The authors’ aim is to enable and encourage the reader to recreate the great battles of the 18th and 19th centuries with armies of model soldiers on the tabletop, whilst inspiring you with glorious art and painted models, not to mention a book packed with historical reference and scenarios for you to play.
For September, we took to the skies with a series of Blood Red Skies releases!
When the US Navy and Marine Corps entered the Second World War, they had only one effective fighter aircraft available to them: the F4F Wildcat. Fortunately, the Wildcat proved more than equal to the task of holding the line.
Joe Foss became the first American ‘Ace of Aces” in WWII during three months of frenzied air combat during the Battle of Guadalcanal, as he lead a flight of eight Marine Corps Grumman F4F Wildcats known as “Foss’s Flying Circus”.
The B5N didn’t compare to other aircraft at the start of its involvement in the war, but it still served throughout the entirety of it. It had a 3-man crew, pilot, navigator/bombardier/observer, and radio operator/gunner.
Winter was starting to roll in, so we reviewed the brave Belgians and French plus Blood Red Skies British planes are spotted.
Some choppy seas in November as we release our brand new naval game Cruel Seas and the Battle of France book for Bolt Action!
