As the dust settles on another jam-packed year of shows, and only one left to attend in Pudsey, we are reviewing just how busy the year has been for us all.
Way back in January we went to Penarth near Cardiff, stopping on the way back for a great little one dayer in Gloucester, both of which started the year with a decidedly Bolt Action bang. Forays into York, Newark, Dumfries, Wolverhampton, Retford, Norwich, Ghent and Hamburg all came before the spectacular Salute event, making for a fairly busy start to the year!
The summer didn’t slow down with some weekends having multiple shows on in multiple continents! Not only did we have the first Warlord Games Day but we travelled from Glasgow to Exeter covering the whole country in between. We even made it to the North East for the last Smoggycon (next year it’s the Battleground show), as the weather stopped us last time round. Of course where would we be without the fantastic Crisis in Antwerp – especially with the spread they put on afterwards, yummy…
So in all, we managed to get to 47 shows in 7 different countries! I have to say a big “THANK YOU” to every single one of you that helped with the event organisation and tea making throughout the year.
A special mention has to go to all those of you that ran a demonstration or display game at these events. We really can’t say how much we appreciate the effort you guys go to putting the games on. And more than that we really enjoy getting to chat to you all!
So what about 2014? We are attending almost all of the same shows all over again, as well as a few new ones. Some re-enactment events. Even a Gothic Church for a tournament or two. And, I am very happy to announce that after the massive success of the Games Day this year we will definitely be holding another.
Thank you again for being part of the Warlord road show!
Ches and Dave
