You know what it’s like when you’re the new kid on the block – you get curious glances and generate a certain level of interest just because you’re new. And whilst we knew our miniatures were great and that gamers would love them we didn’t know how busy we’d be at Salute Zero-8 at ExCeL in London on 19th April.
Salute is without doubt the daddy of all wargames shows in this fair and pleasant land and we were doubly excited to be able to meet some old friends, some new faces and take in the splendour of the show..
We certainly weren’t prepared for the stampede and the subsequent wall of eager and enthusiastic gamers keen to check out what we’ve been up to! Suffice to say that from the moment the doors opened we were swamped.
As Tabletop Gaming News put it in their review of Salute:
“Perhaps the biggest news of the day was the Warlord Games product launch of its 28mm plastic Romans”
The level of interest was relentless and we had a great time talking to you all about our models, our plans and listening to what you wanted next. There was a lot of interest in our forthcoming Celts – the metals made their first appearance at the show…
The following day (and the rest…) feet were sore and backs were aching but were still riding high on the buzz from the show. Sadly we didn’t get to see much of the show as a result and if we missed out on seeing some old faces we apologise – we simply couldn’t get off the stand!
Thank you to all who popped by and said hello!
