Stop Press! Pike & Shotte plastics and Cavalry 3-ups unveiled

This article is a long one so grab yourself a flagon of your favorite beverage and strap in for the ride! As proud as we are of our Early Imperial Roman and Ancient Celt ranges (you always dearly love your first child), there is a special place in our hearts for the troops and battles of the English Civil Wars and the Thirty Years War. The glory, the pageantry, and the downright great-looking uniforms and weapons of these conflicts make for incredible tabletop miniature tableaus on the gaming table. We are very pleased to show off the first pictures of our initial plastic infantry boxed sets for the Pike & Shotte range right here:

These lovely models were painted by our very own Mark Farr and we think he’s done a stonking job bringing out the detail (using the excellent Army Painter system) in the first all-plastic pikemen from the period on the market. Not content with melee weapons alone, we’ve also got some shooty troops for you as well:

As you know, we here at Warlord Games are dedicated to top quality and value in our products, so you’ll be happy to learn that each boxed set will contain twenty-four (24) muskets, twelve (12) pike, and full command.

Models have separate hats and helmets giving you an incredible amount of variety and opportunities for conversions.

Of course we’ve added in an extra body so you can chose whether have armoured or unarmoured pikemen (making them suitable for any conflict you choose). This also gives 3 spare bodies which cunningly allows use of components from the command sprue to make a Sergeant! We couldn’t leave him out could we? As you can see, we have put our all into making sure these all-plastic miniatures are accurate, dynamic, and above all characterful. On release we will have two plastic boxed sets, Parlimentarians and Royalists. We’re aiming to launch the ‘Pike and Shotte’ range at this year’s Salute show so make sure you come by and visit us.
