New: Architects Of War Goodies!

You’ve really been taken by the terrain and miniatures the chaps at Architects of War have been producing. There’s no sign of them slowing down as you’ll see from their latest batch of new releases here. And if you’re attending Salute next week, we’ll have stacks of this lovely terrain on hand. Until then, make a list and have a gander!

Old Barn

This old barn is based on one in ruins then guys at Arechitects of War found on one of their searches for good things to model in the North American country side.

We are very excited to offer it as a kit that is easy to assemble yet captures the same charm as the original “board by board’ version.

Hanging Tree

Gruesome? Yes. This tree kit represents the fate of a deserter, a highwayman, or perhaps a captured Frenchman in the Spanish countryside during the Peninsular War.

. The branch and victim are metal.  Woodland Scenics foliage and tree branches to complete the kit.

Donkey Mill

Used for literally centuries, this simple ‘machine’ was and is still used in some parts of the world to press olives,  grind grain, and crush nuts for their oils. While shown modeled for a Middle Eastern or Mediterranean setting, the model can be painted and flocked to fit into nearly any environment including Asia, Colonial America, and Europe.

Middle Eastern Shop

Designed to be a typical ‘shop’ selling mostly food stuffs found all over the Middle East.

It has two working doors, and a small annex for storing fuel in the back as well as a cistern. Inside, you will find a removable center wall to allow placement of larger figure stands and complete interior detail including but not limited to a bread oven, a work table, a fireplace, various containers, etc.

Small House

This small house is very typical of simple dwellings found all over the Middle East and North Africa. While it’s a simple kit, it’s loaded with a fully detailed interior, a working metal door, and the directions include simple ideas for modification to get several different styles out of the kit for multiple buildings in the same village.

Of timeless design, this house could be used for Ancient to Modern gaming and anything in between. It can also be used for Mexico and some parts of South America.

Desert Well

This kit was intended to be part of the Middle Eastern range, but works just as well for many other locations and time periods where you need a simple well with a cover and an animal trough.

The Desert Well comes with an assortment of metal containers, the well mechanism and a base cast in our virtually bubble free resin components.

Oasis

This piece models a watering hole meant to be the focal point of a desert oasis. It makes a perfect objective to take or defend for Ancient to Modern gaming and anything in between. It’s suitable for use in any desert climate the world over. It can equally be used Old West games by substituting an old knarled tree for the Palm tree that comes in the kit.

This isn’t just your typical lump of resin rock with a palm tree stuck in it. The casting is loaded with detail including scorpions and snakes! The palm tree included is easy to assemble and paint and comes form the excellent Pegasus Hobbies Palm Tree series. These trees, like the casting itself, look great but are tough enough to stand up to years of gaming.

Palm Tree Plates

A follow up to the popular Architects of War Woods ‘plates’, these cast resin bases are loaded with easy to paint detail and specifically designed to accommodate the wonderful easy to assemble Pegasus Hobbies Palm tree kits. Included are an assortment of Pegasus Cacti too. These bases aren’t just lumps of resin but very carefully sculpted pieces of ground with details such as fallen palm leaves, snakes, rocks, and even scorpions carefully cast in.

While designed to compliment the Middle Eastern range, they are also very suitable for the Caribbean, Pacific islands, and Jungle themed games.
